Smoke method

(especially useful during tightness tests of details and connections of horizontal surfaces with vertical elements). This method bases on pushing under the membrane specially colored smoke. Pushed gas is lighter than air. In places of water penetration the gas is getting out of the membrane. Thanks to that, location of the leak is possible.

Smoke used in this method is not harmful to people – it is similar to a water fog.

How it's work?

The smoke method is an effective way to locate places of leaks on vertical surfaces (in particular, finishing the waterproofing on walls, attics, skylights, smoke flaps, etc.), where it is not possible to perform a leak test using the field potential method.
